Could I study food science and nutrition, & then work with clients to improve their health (as a dietitian) ?
Question: I want to study what a nutritionist does, but the job of a dietitian is more appealing to me. Is it possible to study nutrition and then work in a clinic that helps people to improve their diets? (Like a Dietitian does). So to sum up can I do a job like this after studying Nutrition
Answer: A dietitian in many states are required to be licensed, registered. Should that be the case for the state you want to work, then it is unlikely you could be a dietitian. The best thing to do is to contact the state board of medical examiner to ask if dietitian need to be licensed
